Maybe we should alter the way we make threads.

We could ask, "what's the most offensive austrian joke you know' and maybe we get all kinds of informative chit-chat!

Far too obvious. You should ask about the correct way to use a "Ringel-ess" if you want that kind of information.

I only know one Austrian joke - that's not about a chap named Fritzl.

The story goes that during WWI the Austrio-Hungarian Empire had regionally constituted regiments. The Italians on the other side used to be able to identify their foe from the fighting style. One experienced officer is telling his new relief how to identify them.

"The Tyroleans are great snipers. Keep your head down. The Hungarians fight with great elan. Be prepared to fight off mass charges. When the Austrians are in the line, they will throw lots of hand grenades."

"What do you do then?" asked the bewildered cadet.
