I am pleased to hear that, is it possible to say when we may see them, at the moment we are annoying our local store owner by wanting to look at all his ancients, Dark Ages and Middel ages figures to see what we can use, and have had some sucess so far (but have only just started, Question? can the late Roman Horse archers be used aa Byzantium Horse Archers?

The Late Roman Eastern Empire and the Byzantine Empire were the same entity. The artificial label Byzantine referred to the ancient Greek city on the site of Constantinople and was used by 19th century academics to differentiate between the Western Roman Empire which disintegrated in the fifth century and the Eastern Empire which survived until 1453.
Late Roman and early Byzantine armies would have been very similar if not identical in appearance.  All the Late Roman codes could be used for early Byzantine troops.  Some useful books for a quick summary are Osprey's Romano-Byzantine armies 4th-9th century and Byzantine Armies 886-1118.
Have you seen the rivets on that?

No idea, they're still at the Request stage at the moment.  Once we've cleared up some other scheduled items, we'll have a look through the lists and see where to go next.  But I couldn't see these being done at any point in the next 12 months at least.

fred.

These could well be of interest to me.

May also be useful for Lord of the Rings Gondor troops who are often regarded as Byzantium in appearance.

Yeah byzantines are quite an interesting historical army (lots of variety within armies and over time) and could do for fantasy as well
