I'm getting really frustrated with myself. Work is the scion of a she-wolf and a rabid Chihuahua (yaps a lot then bites your leg off) and family matters are somewhat ... involved, I have no wargames table at the moment, and I have managed to completely clog up my painting table with no fewer that 5 - count them - current projects.

  • I still have some infantry, helicopters and airliners for the 1960 "somewhere in the Middle East" to complete
  • Forked out for some 28mm Perry's for a leaving pressie. These have been undercoated and I'm researching some heraldry.
  • Some C12 infantry glare balefully at me from the sidelines - base coats on
  • 1:600 Coastal craft and aircraft - some painted, some prepped, some waiting an order from another place
  • My brother bought m some 1:600 WWI aircraft for my birthday - so I dived in ("dived in" - geddit? Geddit? Please yourselves.)

This ignores the Marlburian stuff chucked in cupboard in a fit of pique, the ACW "extras" mouldering in a box and goodness knows what else.

Is it just me? How does the better organised members cope?

Do you words "organised" and "members  (of the Pendraken forum, I suppose) belong in the same sentence?   :o  :o   :-\

I have two sets of 10mm fantasy awaiting basing finishing, a bunch of 28mm Sea Peoples half done, some 10mm pike to slip the basing onto when they dry, and some 1/4800th boats from Tumbling Dice to cut out mount board bases for and print off some flags for. Oh yeah and do the Italian Wars flags for said pike etc. And that's just ON MY DESK and personal, never mind commissions :D

Organised, moi? NEVER I SAY!

On the painting table at the moment:

10mm WW2 Germans
10mm WW2 Russians
6mm Sumerians
6mm Bronze Age scenery
1:2400 Armada ships
1:2400 Armada period fortifications

Not currently on table but still to be painted .... lets just say that most cupboards and wardrobes in my house need to be opened VERY carefully if you don't want to be showered with lead, plastic or resin :)

I have tons of stuff everywhere in various states. Life is too full of stress as it is without stressing about the stuff that is suppose to de-stress you from the stuff that is stressful.

Malbork

You ar enot alone. Your story resonates  :)

On the table I have 10mm French Naps waiting for final touches before basing
Behind them are two painting sticks of 15mm Romans, ditto
To the right a 25pdr battery in 15mm, undercoated
On the cupbaord behind them two units of Indians for the AWI, just need some highlights
In the garage two regiments of 10mm Parliamentary foot, undercoated
Also four units of C12 Polish infantry, needing basing
In the garden shed platoon of 15mm Stug III and a Tiger I, waiting for weathering coats
Also in the shed some Wars of the Roses cavalry, almost finished
On the dining table a box of painted 15mm Byzantine cavalry awaiting basing
I also have a company of 15mm WWII Japanese infantry newly delivered an dready to be unpacked.

The arrival of two kittens has rather brought a halt to painting at the moment as they are into everything.

needless to say, my wife's patience is getting a little short s she keeps finding little metal men and tankls all over the show :o

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Mongols
Poles
LOA
Goblins
Barbarians
Evil men
OOTS
Supreme Littleness Buildings
Mongols and buildings at the basing stage, Poles and LoA base coated and washed, next Mongols. And OOTS under coated...

All on the table, stuff that not... Too numerous to count!

I don't want to think about all the projects I (allegedly) have on the go :(.

Thank goodness. I was worried it was just me.

For me:

The 4 d&d adventure system boxes (about 160 minis)
Pendraken/dropzone commander future zombie war project with just some vehicles done
64 pendraken confederate infantry to finish my acw project
a bunch of reaper bones for various rulesets
Black scorpion pirates
witch hunter and possessed warbands for mordheim/ SOBH
A bunch of microwing kits
deadzone rebels and marauders
The ever ongoing painting of LOTR miniatures
Epic 40k space marines and orks
Various scenery projects
And some odds and ends

The fun about having so much going on is that when you get bored of omething you can (theoretically) pic up something entirely different

I have 6 painting rods, fits just under 100 figures. If it isn't on those rods it hides in a box and is out of mind. ;)

I also buy for the future. When  I finally came to paint up my £10 10mm ACW ironclad the price had risen to £18.

When I re-organised my painting table I decided that the two existing supermarket produce boxes were more than enough for all of the undercoated, 1/2 painted, waiting to be based projects so they are in the cupboard until I can be ar*ed to start them again. No more than two projects at any given time, I said...that's gone out of the window. It's now only two sizes at any one time! This is completely ridiculous as I only fight solo games!!!

Currently scattered around my painting area:-

6mm Tibetans -undecoated the 10 x LC blocks -soon
6mm WW II British -started painting 34 models awaiting first coat of varnish -ongoing and quite important
12 10mm Mongol cavalry -mañana
2 6mm multi-period civilian wagons -soon
5 6mm Irregular vinyard lengths -soon
4 6mm blocks of ashigaru -mañana
44 15mm Vikings -important
More cereal card buildings for my 5mm Napaoleonic and fledgling WW II campaign -ongoing and quite important
