Looking to add a Bavarian Allied force for my Nappy French and after advice.

Which Vallejo Blue best represents Cornflower Blue? Azure, Andrea blue or something else? Ive never done Bavarians so clutching at straws!

Don't know. I've started to use deep sky blue because it looks good and is not too dark.

I undercoat in black and darker colours end darker hence thinking a lighter shade. Do you use black undercoat?

My problem is i cant see anything with white undercoat.... I dont get on with washes and i cant be arsed to highlight in 10mm......

I have used vallejo "Sky Blue" on my Bavarians and it looks fine. I dont get to paint often so have to maximise my time. I have just broken the 900 figure mark for my 10mm Napoleonics. :o

I undercoat in white then speed paint the figures in largish numbers arounf 50 at a time and up to a 100 for an Austrian regiment. I dont worry if the finish is a little rough. The last thing to do is metalic colours. Leave for a few days for the metalic to dry, then I slosh on a strong black wash. I then repaint the hi points and do not worry about covering all of the painted area but do correct any gross mistakes from the earlier painting. Leave for a few days and varnish. When finished it looks crap  =O. No, for me it looks great in mass.  :)

Cheers, Rob  :) :)

;D ;D ;D I like your style. Most stuff below 15mm looks good at wargame players' distance. If you feel the need to pick up and look closely then you're missing the point of 10mm.

Can next year's painting competition be for photos at "player's distance".

Or "my figures look good, on the other side of the planet, when it's dark, and all our eyes are closed" category?

When they paraded in Munich after the war it was decided to issue new uniforms, the old ones being a tad distressed. Red faces all round when the new ones were issued, something had gone wrong with the dye, a rather fetching shade of lilac I believe.
Don't buy your daughters a pony, buy them heroin instead, its cheaper and ultimately less addictive.
