Hi all

just a thought for those of you with Blucher.....

I play 90% of my games solo as with shift work patterns its hard to get time at the club. Recently a friend at the club helped me out with a Scharnhorst 'Campaign' by Play by Email. He took one force and I took their opponents and we set up a system where he manouvred my opponent on the Scharnhorst Map and then I played the game solo. He gave a set of general battle orders which I then followed.

I posted a batrep on my blog.

Would anyone here like to help me with this? I would be more than happy to reciprocate the favour?

Clearly you would have to have the rules themselves, but we maybe able to get around that if anyone else is interested??
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Nosher,
I would dearly love to, but I do not own the rules.
Sorry.

I like the tabletop battle system in Blucher but find the campaign system very unsatisfying. The idea of losing a campaign before fighting the first battle, which you may even win, strikes me as a bit counter-productive.

Hi Nosher

More than happy to give Scharnhorst a go via PBEM.

Only tried Scharnhorst once so far, did the Scharnhorst part down my local village pub (over a pint of course) and the battle one evening the following week. Both worked fine!

Anyway let me know.

Cheers Paul

If you are keen to use miniatures for Blucher take a look at Sally 4th's custom Blucher bases. They are very impressive. I came across these via an article in the current Wargames Illustrated (Post-Apocalypse theme) on Blucher.

So a second PBEM Campaign was staged and yesterday the tabletop battle was fought out to conclusion.

Big thanks to Paul (T13A) for playing my opponent  ;) Lots of fun and quite a bit of social banter along the way to boot  :D

Look out for a full report on my blog including photos soon!
