QuoteBeen up since 06:30

You're not trying Will, I spent Friday night near the top of Crincle Crags.

This was a mistake, got to about 700m then stopped because that was the cloud base and the wind was knocking me over.  The night was, to say the least, interesting in a howling gale sort of way  ;D but at least it didn't rain.

By 6:30 I'd seen the dawn, packed up the bivi and had returned to the car.

Hello chaps!

Been on a trip to Stirling.

Went to visit Sherrifmuir. It isn't there.

There is a moor and a cairn. Nothing else. In fact even the Sherriffmuir Inn isn't there.

Beautiful weather. Warm and sunny, and raining at the same time to keep you cool.

I went to visit Minas Tirith......That wasn't there either. :(
Someone is going around nicking places, and I think we should be told who it is.

Cheers - Phil

I reckon it's pierre the shy and his good lady. They've probably packed them up to take back as souvenirs. That backpack looked suspiciously full :)

Met them tonight and had a great evening. Nice meal in "A Room In The West End" which was quiet enough that we could have a very leisurely time with plenty of scope for conversation.

Unfortunately not, purple and indeed any colours apart from black, olive and biege are out of fashion on the hill and have been for some time.  I blame the snow boarders who seem to have inherited the skateboarder's sence of fashion and colour, gear manufacturers now seem to produce stuff in the smallest range of boring colours imaginable.

The only bits of purple I've got left are my sleeping bag, climbing harness, rucksack and a scarf wifey found for me.

When in Bovi make sure to find out the time they open the 'stores', where they have all the kit awaiting resoration etc. We missed it on our visit but hope to go again this year and see said 'stores'. BTW you pass right by the home of TE Lawrence as you are almost in Bovi; blink and you'll miss it.
