I have had my "Citadel" inks for a long time now and have just noticed the pigment and the medium have seperated.  The newer washes are nowhere near as good, often staining the whole of the model.

Has anyone tried the Vallejo game inks or are there other suggestions

Cheers

I'm having a lot of success with the Warlord Games Soft Tone ink when finishing off my WWI Tommies. However for most figures I use Fat Wally's magic wash which shades but doesn't stain. I have also heard, and tried for myself, that an application of satin varnish before inking helps the ink to run into creases. I use hand applied Vallejo satin varnish.

I've used the Vallejo black and brown shades in the past. They don't require as much thinning-down as, for example, the Daler-Rowney inks.
