STAR WARS!

Watch out for the point at which someone says "I've got a bad feeling about this". There's one in every Star Wars film. Usually when George can't think of anything else to write.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

George Lucas is infamous for writing cheesy dialogue!  ;D

During the filming of A New Hope, Mark Hamill is alleged to have told him that 'George, people don't talk like this!'

Harrison Ford is known to have complained 'you can type this s***, George, but you sure can't say it'.

Lawrence Kasdan (co-wrote Empire) frequently complained, saying to George, 'This is a terrible scene, I can't believe you wrote this'.

Even Lucas called himself 'the King of wooden dialogue', and he's known to have said that he basically makes silent movies, but he has to put dialogue in.

With JJ Abrams in charge i expect fewer cheesy lines will make it through, but i'll be disappointed if there isn't at least a few,

'I've got a bad feeling about...'

'You underestimate the...'

And

'Delusions of grandeur...'

Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Hmmmm . . . . They never filmed anything called 'A New Hope'. They filmed something called 'Star Wars'.

A small point, but it annoys me.

Yep.

It was always Star Wars: A New Hope, but with just the one film out the media simply called it Star Wars.   :D

The upcoming Star Wars Battlefront game looks absolutely awesome too.  I'll be investing in a PS4 I think...

But it really did make me hanker for 10mm stormtroopers, ATATs etc...wonder if they'll give out the licence?

Leon, get on the blower to Mickey Mouse.   ;D

Sigh. Nope, it was always 'Star Wars'. The 'Episode IV: A New Hope' title was not ret-conned on until 1997.

The film I, and everybody else, saw in 1977 was definitely called Star Wars.

Yes, you're right. As I said, it's only a small thing, but if bothers me that people think it was called A New Hope.

Only the amended, 1997 onwards version(s) are called that.

And Han shoots first!

Han 'Drinks, Shoots and Leaves.' Does this explain Princess Leia's grumpiness in episodes 4 and 5, or is that 1a and 2a?

Well, she does snog her own brother in Empire Strikes Back . . . unless that's been removed in later versions. Can George Lucas ever stop tinkering?

Pretty sure that's still in, including Luke's pervy smile afterwards.
