Hi all.

I've just received my first batch of ACW minis and they seem to have more than the usual amount of flash and cast lines.

Is this normal for ACW minis or historical stuff in general?  :-\

That's odd, they shouldn't have?  Some of the command and artillery crew can flash around the edges when the mould is cold, but we don't normally send those out, we just respin the mould again.  Is it any figures in particular?

Quite a few.  Can't give you the codes because they're from the army packs.

Is it command, art crew, infantry, etc?  I can run some of the moulds tomorrow and see whether there's a problem with them.

I can't tell for acw ( mine are 15mm....  :(  )  but I had only very few minis with problems ( amongst the ww2, scw and syw I bought, only one or two but nothing I can't repair )

Must be a bad batch. I've bought quite a few individual ACW packs as well as the army packs and haven't seen a lot of flash except on a few figures. Sometimes there's a big blob on the base which comes off easily with snips.

You're not cutting off the bayonets are you?  :-\

I've had very little trouble with Pendraken stuff apart from one batch of Norman knights which had some porosity and all had the left foot missing (mould break down?) and I'm a fussy bugger.

Flash has never been an issue.

If you've got some pics that would be great.  The infantry are usually fine, the usual culprits are things like standard bearers or the officer with the sword up, anything with a long thin item coming up into the air is more likely to show a mould line.

The mounted officers sword is a bit dodgy but I can fix that.

It's more the legs of some infantry.

Let me know how many need replacing as well, and which pose (marching, advancing, firing) and we'll get them sent out.

Odd, I've bought several hundred, marching and advancing, and all are as clean as a whistle.

I'll post the dodgy ones back Leon, my photography's not up to showing the detail.
