Happy New Year to everyone; sorry I'm not in a position to pour a bucket of water over you, as on this holiday 'twould behove me to do.

In the tropics it's less disagreeable; this is our big carnival, and great fun it can be too. The water started as a nominal sprinkling as a mark of respect, but has developed into an attempt to soak everyone who comes in range of powerful high-pressure water guns.
