I bought one of the Poppies that were on display at the Tower of London.  It is now displayed in Mrs Orcs glass display cabinet.

Today Mrs Orcs told me I should go buy and paint some fugures to display round it.  She liked the look and scale of the Irregular Miniatures 42mm WW1 figures.  She sat with me and looked through the webpage and she has decided I should buy an 18pdr gun and crew, A Vickers MG team and some trench to display them in.

Now while Mrs Orcs has always been very obliging about my hobby this is a first - being told to go and buy more figures and spend more time painting them.

Thi is in addition to being told to bring lots of figures on holiday last week so i could paint.

So should i welcome this interest and encouragement with open arms or should I be getting worried about a possible hidden agenda?   :-\ :-\

Too good an opportunity to miss. You've been give carté blanche to paint!

And if she's off doing something naughty, you get even more time to paint!

Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Only worry if she offers to pick up a paint brush.

Happened to a mate of mine once with his ex-girlfriend - pretty sure the Wehrmacht didn't have a pink dress uniform.

I did say ex-girlfriend.  :o

Just out of interest, the bloke 2 doors down, what does he look like?

Ummmm, seriously?

Either the wife is appreciating that you have worked for decades, slaved away to build a good home, made her comfortable, paid all the bills, taken her to exotic places on holiday,

or

expect a great big 'I've been thinking........... ' from her very soon.  (That undoubtedly means you will have less time to paint and less money to spend on figures!)

I have only worked for a decade as we have only been together 11 years.   We bought a house that needed lots of work a couple of years ago, and I have done quite a bit of work on it.

She is wanting to visit her sister in Australia and a freind in New Zealand, next year, but I had agreed to this weeks ago.

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :-\

Dangerous.   :o

Possibly she is thinking that if you buy another house in the next year then while she's away in the antipodes you could work on the new house and have it ready for her return!   Suggest you paint as much as you can now, next year the only painting she has lined up for you is with a roller, pad, and 2 inch brush.   :(

Good luck.   :D
