Auto pilot; I think Bishop was also in hypersleep on the way there but I'd have to check and that doesn't really make sense

Nowdays I am thinking how to paint aliens and your paint is great really close to the effecto of the screen. How do you get those dark tones with silverish touches ( I mean, how do you paint them)?

My method on these was really really simple:
White undercoat
Dark grey
Black wash (fairly undiluted)
Grey highlights, then leave well alone for a bit as you get distracted by other projects...
Steel highlight
Grey highlight
Steel highlight with 00 brush (to hide my white fingerprints)
Teeth
Done.
