Wonder if he's gone to fetch the grenade they've just lobbed.
This one gets my vote. Up there with Russian dogs trained to run under tanks.

They did and blew up several of their own because they're the ones the dogs trained with I believe?

Its very possible. However, I understand they carried out some research which involved dogs watching old war movies and not one of them mentioned that 'the wrong tank' was featured in the movie. Thus it was confirmed that the dogs could not tell the difference between a German tank and a Russian tank.    :-B   :)

Wrong :)

They could, because Russian ones were petrol driven and German ones were diesel so enemy tanks smelled and sounded wrong. How many dogs scored an "own goal" is open to debate.

They were bioweapons but not necessarily Smart Munitions :)

 :o  :-/  :-\   :)  ;D

No, no, wait ...... they subsequently found out the movie experiment was flawed because all of the canines were bitches (and so, were only interested in shopping puppies).
They then concluded that if they had trained dogs (males), they would have spotted right away that the "German" tanks were in fact post-war American  .... (oh, I give up) .......  #-o

.... but, the smells of the different fuels was very interesting nevertheless, Ithoriel .....
