Belive me - no one but no one goes on holiday to Runcorn. BTW in referance to another post - there is no Asda, just a TESCO and Morrisons.

According to ASDA'S website, they've got a 'superstore' in Runcorn.  :-\
I feel a conspiracy theory beginning.  ;)

Asda's website also said my local opened at 09:00 during the Xmas to New Year break, but when I went there to look for  new TV I was very abruptly told "Nope, we open at 10", so don't believe everything you read on the web.

Tesco got my money instead.

There's no Morrisons in Runcorn.  :-\, and I think they've closed the TESCO down, or it got eaten by bears.

There's a Morrisons in Widnes, and an ASDA and the 2nd biggest TESCO in the UK . In fact, Widnes is now 24% TESCO.

The ASDA in Runcorn is virtually cut off just now by the road works. They're building another bridge and diverting the roads so that nobody can ever find their way to Runcorn.  It'll be like Brigadoon, appearing out of the fog once every 100 years for a refill of Fosters and kebab meat.

Indeed. Following on his success with the movie, JFK, I hear Oliver Stone now plans a new conspiracy movie located in Runcorn with the working title .................. FSN (!)
So far, tentative negotiations have been conducted with Kevin Costner Ricky Tomlinson in the frame for the lead role!  =D>
