Wash the bases in a detergent wash and rinse well. I've  had rubber roads for over 20 years. After cleaning I used acrylic washes and dry brushing on them. I've never had to repaint.

I just used acrylic paint, the larger tubes you get from places like the Range or Hobby Craft or even Home Bargins.

I think hobby paints work - I think they just recommend using cheaper ones for the large areas. I'm pretty sure I used Vallejo for the hedges.

How can this be the wrong thread? The question was about painting rubber terrain bases. the illustrated road is rubber, very similar to TBM settlement bases.  :-/

Does it REALLY matter anyway?  The main question has been answered, the post isn't abusive or insulting and keeps the discussion going.

I think Ithoriel's comments (different thread) saying that the digression, chat, discussion and banter help keep otherwise "dead" threads going is spot on ;)

Well I must have missed something somewhere. I was out walking in North Wales yesterday so didn't get to the Forum at all. only to discover today that there are three pages of unread posts. Effectively that is iunmanageable so will nopw delete them and start afresh.

It was my post that was wrong. I was clicking randomly.

Then managed to post what I meant too.

And none the worse for that once the "serious" questions have been answered ;)
