I'd suggest fishing weights glued under the body between the tracks, but if you've got the facilities and time to "cast your own" from off cuts, flash and spares then that's cheaper :D

Yeah, I'd still have to file the fishing weights down. There really is that little space on the model. Thanks for the suggestion anyway, Pixie.

The problem is, Subedai, there isn't much space within the volume of the model to place weights. I suppose I could base them, but that wouldn't add that much weight and , anyway, it goes against the grain. I think what I will do is melt down a few old figures and spread the molten metal in a thin layer on a biscuit tin lid. Then, once it's solidified, I can chop it into oblongs that will fit between the tracks. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Incidentally, I also have a big collection of card buildings and I use use superannuated figures to weigh mine down. Well, it reduces the lead mountain somewhat.   :)

I based (sorry, unintentional) that now erroneous assumption on the fact I base all of my vehicles.

TBH so do I. It removes doubt related to range and angle of dangle.

Two fantasy forces cleaned and assembled tonight, including one minor and one major conversion started. Aliens and their queen assembled too.
Three units of AWI British had their missing figures added. Generals assembled and wounded/damage markers also constructed. Gen. Washington also assembled.
Then spent a long time mucking about trying to decide how many figures to put into a unit for my next mega project. Think I might have found a workable answer.

Also watched the new version of 'The Sweeny', it was a bit good!

Hope you get better soon Leman. House nice and warm but family stuff getting in the way of things. Made a plan of stuff to paint between now and end of Febuary, which should be achievable :-\. I'm finding that if I concentrate on one project, it really helps move things along. Hope it lasts :D.

Found some 8mm flat magnets at, of all places, one of my wife's dolls house conventions on Saturday. They fit between the tracks of the Hanomags quite neatly, grab on to strips of steel paper glued to the carrying box interior and add some much-needed weight to the models.  <:-P

Well the antibiotics have kicked in and abdominal discomfort now gone so able to start painting again. Yes, The Sweeney was a good watch. Was there ever a follow up? I'd like to see the IA bloke get his come uppance.

Finished of another squadron of Shermans this evening that have been 'in progress' for at least 6 months or more :-[. Really nice feeling to have them finished, all bar the lacquering that will be done tomorrow once everything is nice and dry. Then some Minibits transfers and local lacquering of these and their done :).

Get well soon Leman.

Taped the Sweeny...haven't got round to watching it yet. Remember the original series, loved the gallows style humour in it. The films were a bit of a let down apart from the catch phrase 'Get me Mr Johnson' -a pseudonym for a hitman.
