Seeing a successfully run Play By Blog game over on another blogger's blog (funny enough) I decided that I was interested in giving it a go.

This being a bit of an experiment, in seeing if a game can be played through emailed turn orders and photo's on the owner's blog, I'm interested to see just how successful the game will be. I am expecting the odd occasion of disaster, but some quick thinking should pull my plumbs out of the fire.

Anyway, there's a lot of information on how I went about creating the terrain and the rules over on my blog (so I won't waffle on here).

The players have just decided upon their starting positions, so the action hasn't started yet.

Here's the link to the beginning of the game [Turn Zero]

There's more photo's and 'in-game' description over there, which I won't pile onto this post.

Many thanks

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Looks like that'll be great fun !

Looks intriguing and will follow this with interest. Nice looking chaps and terrain, by the way.

I have posted on your '...so just how big is a gnome in 10mm-scale?' blog as well.

I suspect a blog & photo play by email would replicate the "fog of war" quite nicely!

Actually, it's a great opportunity for some double blind play.

Thanks all.

Subedai  :-bd (well, I was looking for just the one thumbs-up, but two will suffice just as well).

I really like your trees, are they twigs and scourers?

They're twigs covered with pva glue, then painted with those Wilko £1 paint pots.
(very) Fine wire wool, bought at a pound shop, sprayed GW black then B&Q green.

All my other trees are either what I bought from Timecast or Pendraken (in fact some of the smaller trees on that table were bought from Leon). I hardly play 28mm games, so I was looking for a relatively inexpensive solution to my need.

Maybe this thread should be in the "Networking" - "Blogs" sub-board?
If it's suddenly moved there, I'll obviously understand.

Definitely send in a Bobby to sort that out, " 'Ello, 'ello,' elllo, what's all this then? Think you're the Lone Ranger do you sir?"

Turn Three - posted earlier today.
As I said earlier, this is a Play By Blog game, where the player's control their character through emailed orders sent in to me and then I put together a turn report combining all of the players actions translated onto the tabletop. Surprisingly it's working quite well, but on the day before the post on my blog it is VERY time consuming doing all the work :(
