Ignore IanRs' quote about foriegners. He is from Liverpool, and they are very insular - mainly beacuse no one in their right mind goes there.    So any one who does not have a Liverpudlian accent is a foriegner

Hi Vincent, welcome to the forum.

I think it might be a good idea to stop remarking on new forum members being foreigners, even in jest. I've noted that the French press is now commenting a lot on anti European feeling that appears to be on the increase in Britain, and I think it gives the wrong impression of this very open forum.

Very sunny today    and not at all cold.

When I lived in London I used to complain about the slight drop in temperature when I visited 'Up North'. Now from where I am, 'Up North' appears tranquil compared to the scary floods and heavy snows 'Down South'.

I dont think its got above 3C all week here...getting fed up with it now
