Now a card of a dragon grabbing a sheep on a hill while it's raining, that would be awesome...

How about a card of a Welshman grabbing a sheep on a hill while its raining. Then Will can explain the alternative use of Wellies  :D

- sorry just seen "They are six, so nowt rude please!" :-[

PS - Hope Techno does not see this or he will be feeding German paras to the Puppy  :D

I bought two postcards today for the purpose of a) helping you out and b) getting my kids to write a postcard... see once a teacher always a teacher. One is a map of Shetland (original I know) the second is a lamb wearing a Fair Isle jumper probably not so original.
If you would like me to enquire of my Primary department and see if they would be willing to chip in I can do. I finish as Head teacher this Friday so it will be up to them to carry it through ( I won't be able to pester  :D)
Cheers

Surprisingly, there aren't any postcards of Runcorn any more. Nor indeed of Widnes.

So, I've popped over to Max Spielmann and turned one of my photos into a postcard.

It is now in the post.

Hope it gets there reasonably intact!

Techno

Absolute rubbish selection here at the moment......Best one I could find was of a cromlech, not too far way from Techno Towers.
The two 'hills' ones I got were a complete lie.....I mean....Blue sky and sunshine.....Yeah, right.....and don't ask about the one of the dragon.
Could I find any of sheep ?....Not a chance.

Should have done what Nobby did.....MY pictures of the castles near here are loads better than the postcards I found....(Said he modestly  :-[)..and the picture of the local village....AWFUL !
Cheers - Phil

Duke Speedy of Leighton

It doesn't have to be special Phil, a cromlech is still impressive.

Mine went out on thursday. Just a simple christmass card but added a nice picture of the "atomium" for your class to discuss it's 'uselesness'  ;D

Is it me or is writing something for kids age 6 that you don't know hard? Didn't really know what to write really  :-\ :-\

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Thank you.
Thought the whole point of the atomium was its pointlessness.  :-\

It was great when I visited it last.

Funny thing is, it was built for the world exposition and was planned to be removed 6 months after that. But as people just came over to look at it, they decided to keep it .

Duke Speedy of Leighton

So...
Techno, FSN, PaulR, petercooman.  Maenoferren and quite a few other's cards have arrived so far, will post piccies of the whole lot soon.
Thanks all.

Hoping my post office has restocked with postcards of the famous Formby red squirrels. Unfortunately they were out of stock just before Christmas.
