I wasn't then... (however you do have an impressive set... my wife almost swooned. I was a lancer and didnt have time for little lead men. Spent too much time polishing my tack and shovelling sh*t.
prior to that i was Light infantry... but I like horses and re-enactment and I found a group where I could do both at the same time  :D

WTF has this thread got to do with Waterloo? It didn't even start with it and seems t5o be going nowhere near it. Anyway as everyone gears up for Waterloo I shall probably be refighting Inkerman.

Re Paul's query about Inkerman, I am planning to refight this using the BBB scenario and Irregular 6mm unit blocks based on 30mm squares. The blocks provide British in two ranks and everyone else in three ranks (the British blocks are in the Napoleonic Miscellany section; the British Guards block is slightly too long to fit on the 30mm base).
