Just read all 11 pages of this thread and the painting work is just awesome, really inspiring stuff.

These are really nice - I really like the style of your painting, yet have no idea how to replicate it myself.

Having looked at the high res photos, one small suggestion if I may, run a wash along the white edges of the flags - it doesn't have to match the colour exactly to blend them in well

The flags are printed ones Lemmey, i'm happy that you thought i was up to painting to that standard though  :D, not sure of the make.
Nice one Fred, i never refuse free advice, i'll try that today.
The ants thought it was hibernating time Techno, bit of a rude awakening for them this week  ;D ;D.
Just varnished the last of the cav for this year, hope to get based later today and pics on tomorrow.
