Hi MC, welcome to the forum. You'll probably find that, having got immersed in 1866 you will then get drawn to 1870, or 1859, or 1864.... my advice is, when in doubt - give in!  ;)

Yep, from a man with French Imperial Guard in two different uniforms. Yesterday the Prussians did the unthinkable and lost at Skalitz - whoops!

I forgot to unlimber a gun, which was then ridden down by Austrian cuirassiers. Then I attempted to take a wood, but the Lorenz got the better of me. Finally I lost three guns to counter battery fire and an Austrian column took one of my brigades in flank. By this stage my corps morale had dropped to shattered, so my units could only use one dice to move and manoeuvre, resulting in everyone falling back. The rules being used were Feuer und Furia Francese.

Oo, it's always painful getting caught in the limbers, especially by curaissiers!

Far too late , Sir! Already do Garibaldi's Sicilian campaigns in 28mm, Crimean and 1866 naval in various scales from 1/600th down and used to do FPW in 15mm. I also still have the old 1866 game "Clash of Empires"- like a boardgame but not on hex sheets.

Currently working out how many packs I need to complete a Saxon army...........
