That is pretty damned cool to see so much kit all together 8).

Wow! I see the local traffic treated them with enormous respect. I wonder why?  :D :D :D
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Not bad condition considering the age of some of those bits of kit. Obviously kept together with love and mechanical affection. Must have brought a tear to some of the old uns as they went by. Quite moving in it's own way.

They all came round the corner rather wide!!

Really impressive line of kit - the Shermans look to be going really quickly compared to the trucks. Though obviously they are all going much the same speed as they are in convoy.

I didn't realise that much stuff still existed.

After the liberation, a lot of vehicles ended up in the Netherlands, and were used locally (in the army or in private hands).

This website is from 'Keep them rolling', a Dutch organisation of collectors and enthusiasts: KTR

But for this 'Corridor Tour' they came from everywhere, I think!

On an Exercise in Arlon, Belgium in 1987 we worked with the Belgian Motor Transport platoon to get an old daimler scout car back in running order. It was one of the highlights of my army career.

Much beer was quaffed when the wee beauty fired up for the first time ;)

The Adjutant-chef was most appreciable and we were all treated to a horse steak, moule and frites and more Leffe than you could shake a big stick at.

Happy Days :)
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.
