Hello All

Came across a photo with the caption "Annamite troops...marching back to their garrison at Haiphong after being ordered not to resist the Japanese invasion"

It shows them with an artillery piece with a folding trail and lots of pony/mule baggage.

Doers anybody have any idea on the artillery piece?

Cheers

It looks like the 75mm  '75M (montagne) Mle 1919' manufatured by Schneider to me...

Hi AoS

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I thought so, but I put it up so others could lead me to right answer.

Now to sit down and think of what I can use as a proxy  :D.

Howdy Grumpy,

I was thinking... since the 75m is more or less a downscaled version of the Schneider 155 C Mle17 with the long and typical 'Schneider' trail and the curved gunshield; maybe you could use one of those in 6mm? I haven't checked if there are any to be honest (should be I guess) but maybe that's the way to go? (Mind you, if you would get a later version with the flat gunshield it wouldn't work I guess...)
On the other hand; apparently the Japanese mountain guns for WW-2 were license built Schneider 75m's so maybe they are available somewhere?

Hope this helps somewhat?

Hi AoS

No joy with the Japanese gun even in the listings for Japanese resin makers. Couldn't find much useful in 6mm ranges either

I might have to use another manufacturers Skoda mountain guns or Bofors AT guns (heavily camouflaged  :D) They sort of look similar.

Cheers and thanks again.

Howdy GOM,

I know Heroics and Ros do one in 6mm for only GBP 0.40 I believe so it might be worth a try?

I think it doesn't really have the level of detail a true 10mm gun would have but it may be a starting point...
