These are 30mm square bases, 16 pike or 10-12 musket per base

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Hope this helps to visualise the effect of this base size.

It certainly does!  Thanks so much.  I like the extra acreage on your bases - a lot less cramped.
I've got a copy of Warlord Games' Pike and Shotte so base size is unimportant.
I might give more square bases a go after seeing these.

Thanks for the kind words chaps.

Fierce Kitty - Any chance of a close up of those cavalry in your battle report ?   I've just
started painting up the cavalry units and am having a hard time driving it forward !
Need some inspiration.

Probably offer a chance to see some different basing ideas (which is always good).

Cheers,

Phil

I'll speak to my better half tomorrow, though if you find my painting inspiring, maybe you need to upgrade your specs!

I haven't seen that site before - a brilliant resource!  I like to paint my flags onto tin foil but I'll definitely be copying these designs.  Thanks so much, that's really useful.

Rebasing is a pig, although immensely satisfying once it's done. Gorfindel's basing looks really good.
