Lovely figures, and a good match between the flocking and the cloth; why on earth those 2mm of visible base edge? It spoils a lot of careful and well-judged work.

cracking Stuff,loving the Freehand on the Shields  i too think they would benefit from thinner Bases though

Thicker bases encourage other people to pick troops up by the base. I paint mine green so they don't stand out quite as much as these

You're wrong there Steve. These ones are a different size entirely. And they have 10mm scale figures on them.

That is my rationale as well sadly. I am a big believer in big bases as a way to protect my wee lads. Bad and repeated past experience.

On one occasion I've had to handle the clumsy manipulation of my figures by cutting someone from my list of opponents. Since he'd raised me from one to two no trumps with a one-point hand recently, I wasn't sorry to see the last of him anyway.

Excellent work . Might even inspire me to finish off my stuff... .

Very inspirational, I play Dux in 28mm but these 10mm look more like a warband than a collection of individuals.

What do you do about distances converting 28 to 10mm, reduce down to cm?

On the basing front I prefer thin bases and find 0.8mm steel perfect.
