That's an interesting concept, are there any more?

I think I respond more to someone's demeanour, and probably appearance as well.  If some guy was dressed smartly, and seemed friendly when I questioned him about it, I'd probably leave him to it!  

Luckily I live in Middlesbrough, where the tracksuits tucked into the socks and general crackhead physique tend to give them away.

Interesting to see differences in peoples reactions when they switched actors

Take into account his socio - economic problems and help him nick it as the bikes owner is probably a Facist/capitalist (as all property is theft).
