A new unit for the Seleucid army: the dreaded cataphract cavalry of Antiochus

These are great figures and the number of possible combinations with two horses and three riders is awesome. But, if I have to find some problem with these miniatures it would be the size... As with dromedaries, the cataphracts are larger than other Pendraken references. Here you can see a photo comparison with the roman cavalry.

Excellent work, Hetairoi. Not a crowd you'd want to meet on a dark night.  :D
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Or even on a nice sunny day when you were intending to spend it relaxing at the beach
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Don't be silly, Cataphracts are an ailment that afflicts the eyes, especially of those who are older :)

As Sylvester the cat used to say - "Suffering cataphracts!"

Perhaps he was unlucky with his extra heavy cavalry?

Really excellent Hetairoi, and great basing. I dont trim the figure bases, i just put the basing material (pummice) up to the edge then cover with paint and a bit of field grass around the fig base to hide it. Sorry for the late reply, my internet service along with my aging laptop have been on a go slow recently.
