Can I suggest a GMC CCKW 352.  The 352 was used extensively as an artillery tractor in all theatres.

Here's one in US Navy colours:

If you need any photos for modelling I can supply loads.

Kind regards to all

Well, there is a vehicle described as a 2.5 tonne truck, which given that there are no spare wheels behind the cab mean it has to be the long wheel based version, a GMC CCKW 353.

Please don't take this too much to heart, but it is not a good model :(.  The chassis is too short, which make the cargo bed look too long with a large over hang that shouldn't exist, there are no mudflaps which are a distinctive feature (unless its a dump truck), the wings at the front are way too angular and make the front look like a post war M35, and the tilt when on is too high in relation to the size of the cab.

Can I appeal to you to consider a remodel at some stage in the future please :)

Kind regards

Ian

This site is quite good for pictures.  It has over 350 GMCs over various different types that are currently in the UK:  http://cckwphotoblog.blogspot.co.uk/

You can search on the links for different varieties.  This is the link for the short-wheel based CCKW 352: http://cckwphotoblog.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/352

Kind regards
