In the past week:

1. Son smashed a bedroom window playing cricket - indoors FFS #-o

2. Dining room radiator has blown and needs replacing

3. Wind has ripped out 6 of 10 fence panels

4. Chimney stack is looking ropey...

5. Some arsehole has scraped along the back of my brand new car and driven off when the wife got the Police involved as he'd been drinking

6. Got up this morning to find the toilet is backed up and looking likely to overflow... >:(

On the bright side, my gym and fitness regime appears to be doing the trick and I have lost half a stone since Christmas :-bd
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

It's only money, Nosher, that's what I keep telling myself. Health and fitness come a long way out in front.  :)
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Many years ago my brother and me were playing cricket out side and he bowled the ball and and I hit if back straight back at him, he missed it and went straight through the plate glass window in the dining room...My Dad ran and shouted

"What the hell are you doing"

My brother ( who is 7 years older than me) explained that he bowled an overpitched ball which I had driven back at him

My Dad then says..."I hope it wasnt a cross bat slog?"

My brother said "No, it was a lovely straight drive"

To which my Dad said

" Well no harm done then , as long as it was a proper cricket stroke"
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Being a cricketer myself Fenton I'd have had sympathy if it wasn't for the fact he was indoors and in his sisters bedroom which is not much bigger than a box room.

That said, I can now have a dump without fear of flowback, the window has been replaced this morning and the driver of the car that hit mine has admitted his guilt so it should be a straightforward claim that wont affect my no claims discount.

Now going to see if I can catch a couple of hours kip before I'm back to work tonight I-)
