Its the liquids that they'll start taxing, the pipes, well by the time they (the government) get round to it everyone who's remotely interested in "vaping" rather than smoking will have at least one lifetimes supply of said "medical" devices. I've been on them for a fortnight and have 3 and plan on buying another one on Monday, why? So many flavours, so little patience, plus its also a little bit like a hobby, so many gadgets, so many shiny things.

Which brings up a quick question for Fenton, why with so many lovely flavours available do you choose to vape a tobacco flavour? I know thats what I've been smoking for 46 years, buts thats down to tobacco being the only readily available and legal material to smoke. Just a thought. Hmmm just vaping a nice mix of Blueberry and Liqorice, very nice and tastes so much better than tobacco.

Hi Gordon

I have tried lots of the different flavours and I find them all too sweet and sickly my favourite is a cigar flavoured one

I have tried to get the local one to try and get a Eucalyptus flavoured one as I think it would be great for colds

I think the other reason is that both and my wife use them and the tobacco one is the only flavour we can agree on that we both like
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Have you tried some of the fruit flavours? Blueberry cannot be described as sweet, its very tart. I just find most of the tobaccos I've tasted very well non events as far as flavour goes, but I'm asssured by an online friend that RY4 is the dogs bollocks, maybe you should give it a try.

Well after a couple of weeks away from the painting table (the muse wasn't upon me coupled with planning some Baltic Crusades and HYW forces) I made a return this evening to carry on with my Saxon cavalry for Dux Bellorum. I've got quite a few re-inforcements on the way (soonish) from Leon so trying to finish off a few bits'n'bobs before the lead mountain avalanche arrives :D.

Scratching around at the moment for pictures of the jail on Jail Hill at Kohima. The only one we've got so far only shows the front. Otherwise we're going to have to extemporise (they can't touch you for it!).  ;)

Not too bad a day for me as I:

- Finished scratch building a Saxon/Medieval Swedish house, which I aim to prime tomorrow ready for final painting. This one with have a turf roof rather than the normal  thatch, which hopefully will work and look rather nice. Pics to follow.
- More painting on my Saxon cavalry which with a couple more nights of painting should be finished. Too much close up work today to do more than an hour of painting.

Painted and based some mounted infantry,  based some engineers for my anglo zulu war project

take care

Bread bags and bayonet sheaths. Not exciting, but also not brown, like the rest of the army!  8-}

Filling in time by painting up 1866 Austrians. Got enough figures for three line battalions and one of feldjagers. They'll form the basis of Brigade Schultz, the third brigade of 8 Korps.

Nearly finished my Flames of War Hungarian project, but forgot I needed booby traps.
We all know FOW is a silly system, so for my four traps I plan to have and build:

1) a pit, covered in pages of Russian 'beauties'.
2) A can of paint on a wall.
3) A tripwire with a custard pie on a spring.
4)  A target with points painted on the ground and an anvil on a clear flight stand rod.

Yes, I just scratch built an anvil!

Tonight I made some good progress on 3 squads for use with the KR16 rules by Michael of Angel Barracks fame. Also basing up some 1970s pig-faced Orcs from Minifigs for use with IHMN and Mordheim. In the background some ideas floating around for the painting competition... :-\
