A big nostalgia trip for me as well.  I worked for GW in the late 1980s.

being an avid drooler over WD and GW rulebook pics in the late 80's, as a young lad, I can safely say that its all Phil's fault I'm a lead addict.

...and everyone wanted the Chaos Allstars, I think I still have that edition of WD knocking around somewhere.

Great interview. My first miniatures were FA as well. And Fiend Factory/Fantasy Tribes and so on. Still have some of those, and the catalogue too!

My dear Sir, I salute you.  :)

Nice interview. Hadn't realised what a varied career you'd had at GW.

Back in the 80s and 90s I worked in the Central Library and used to drop in on Trish & Ally Morrison and Bob Naismith in the studio they shared in Victoria Street to ooh! and ahh! at the new figures being produced and to cadge a cup of coffee (infinitely better than the canteen sludge) in exchange for the occasional packet of biscuits. If you were organising the design schedules I hope there weren't too many incidents of timescales slipping because they were yakking to me :)

I still have a raft of figures from that era ... waiting to be painted  :-[
