Hi Peter

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news but I wouldn't bother with the eBay ones you found.  I got some to use as moats around my castle. Build quality isn't fantastic,  and they sit very high of the table. Also not the flattest of rivers I've seen.

In fact I've never used them, they've remained in their bubble wrap!

Cheers,

Craig

I have some original Bellona river sections, and found I can supplement them with scratch built sections using 'Painters Chalk' and plastic card.   I use railway platforms for urban sections of riverbank - looks like a levy and fits well with N gauge kit bridges

Like Pete, as I fight in the Carrabin/Latin American  post war actions - I like my rivers, lagoons and seas to be blue.

Saw too much of mud, rain and black muckish water in real life.......

How high do they stand on the table? I use a faux fur fleece throw, so it's possible they will 'sink' a bit when on my table, this coupled with the heigth gained from the mdf bases might be enough to upset the problem.

Apologies Peter i only just spotted the reply. The River stands 9-10mm off the table. I also use a fleece and they still look too big for my liking.

I have about 4 and half foot of straights and 4 90 degree bends if anyone wants to buy them from me?

Let me know,

Craig

If the order isn't placed within two days, the chances are you'll buy something else.

Do yourself a favour and look at some real rivers. Strauss notwithstanding, rivers are seldom anything like blue.

When ICI had a Copper Sulphate day the Clyde was as blue as a Ranger's strip.

Them was the days.
Don't buy your daughters a pony, buy them heroin instead, its cheaper and ultimately less addictive.

Impressive. Very impressive.

Xwing is great!

YEs it's a very nice game! Spend about 145 € on it too  :P :P

Got me the core set, falcon, Y wing, advanced tie, tie bomber and an extra tie fighter, and ordered another x wing, wich they didn't have anymore. Bought a little compartement box for them too today, so all is stored nice and fine for 5 €.

Oh, and i splashed out some more and bought memoir 44.  :D
