So two months ago child No2 fractures his left elbow falling off the bed while trampolining.

Tonight child No1 breaks his left elbow elbow jumping over some cushions playing some odd superhero game.

I'm not sure why I bother neurotically drumming into them the rules of the Tufty club and keeping them away from the neighbourhood attack pets.

Oh dear....That's pretty damn rotten luck...Not a good start to 2014 F !  :(
Did they both hit their elbows on something hard.....Or simply land badly ?
Hope they're both mended soon....Is it around six weeks for fractures to heal ?
Cheers - Phil.

They've got bigger fish to fry, though no doubt we will have a phone call from the community nurse. Which is a good thing really... though it can be embarrassing, like the time I thought child 1 had broken his wrist but it turned out he had a paper cut on his finger  :-[

Not good...IN hope they get on the mend soon.
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Child 2 is fine, and his elbow is working fine, as he demonstrated this morning by elbowing me in the eye when I committed the mortal parental sin of trying to snooze.

Glad to hear they are on the mend
why are small children all elbows and knees... do they go to some Ninjaesque school to learn pressure points to cause mosr discombort, add in two whippets all bony too)to my three kids and one ends up whimpering like a big sissy (apologies to sissies everywhere) when they come for a hug on the sofa.

There's got to be something, maybe they get taught at nursery or something.

thanks for the apology *curtsy*...

I have long ago realised why my father used to call me boney marony. The trick I have learned - which is not something that is ever mentioned in any of the parenting books that the missus read and told me about - is to gird your loins whenever possible...

Nah nursery is where they learn that everyone has an ipad and that the music you hate is cool.

I know that feeling, the 3 year old is quite happy turning the tablet on/off and switching between the various Apps he likes.  At that age I'd never even seen a computer, but the kids these days are growing up thinking a touch screen is completely normal.
