Just moved this from the WW2 photos board to the Non-Pendraken board as these are 99% Minifigs, sorry!

All,

Here's the last of what I got done this weekend.  I've always had a thing for USMC vs Japanese, and so I finally got them finished.

Nothing says Marines like flamethrowers and brown-side out helmet covers.

This was too funny to leave out (yes, impressed by my own jokes):

A couple of the Marine officers.  On the left, we have the Lt using binos to try to find his butt (har har), and the company commander on the right inspiring the men forward.  "Beg your pardon, Sir."  "Whaddaya need, Staff Sergeant?"  "Umm, the enemy's the other way, Sir."  "Roger that, face about men!"  Apologies to all my former 'Zeros.' ;)

A view of some of the Emperor's finest.

Really really great write up and I really like the back story too!

60mm mortars sound a necessity, but the rest I think you'll need to ask Techno sweetly!  ;)

I like the camo helmet-covers on the leathernecks.  :)
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Thanks guys!

I've got enough to get them on the table, but definitely have to get some 60mm mortars, and some 37mm ATGs too, now that I'm thinking about it.

Regarding Mr. Techno-Phil, while I think they're great ideas, don't know how much interest they'd draw from the Pendraken customership at large.  Gotta admit, troops specific to Guadalcanal, Wake Island, and the Philippines probably aren't in high demand.  And most folks that game Vietnam probably don't miss the M-14s, plenty happy with the M-16s.

I've often looked at the "you want wot making?" post and daydreamed, but I'm not sure what's feasible.  Just thinking about it:
Guadalcanal: (all of these with M1 steel pot)
1 x Officer w/.45
2 x Rifle (Springfield)
Change the air-cooled USMC MG to water cooled MG

Wake Island/Philippines: (all of these with 'pie-plate' helmet)
1 x Officer w/.45
1 x Tommy Gun
1 x BAR
2 x Rifle (Springfield)
Need a water-cooled .30 cal MG

Vietnam
1 x Officer w/.45
2 x Rifle (M-14)

So, a total of 13 sculpts modified from existing sculpts.  That's a lot of product...

But modification is a lot more economical than new sculpts!

My next plan is going to cost me a fortune!
