Inspired by comments in 'Top Totty', a new gun p0rn thread.
Top three small arms:
1. Lee Enfield rifle (all marks). The best personal firearm in history.

Look at it. Phwooar!
2. Chiappa Rhino revolver

A newcomer with many interesting design features (including firing from the 6 o clock chamber). Its lovely.
2. Lawgiver (Judge Dredd's pistol)

Too cool for school. It has many designs, and they're all top gun totty.
My favourite silly gun - the le Mat. Nine bullets and a shotgun. What's not to love?

Back in the days when I played "Once Upon A Time In The West" a number of player's characters favoured the Le Mat because of the shotgun option.
My own character carried a pair of Remington .44 Army revolvers, as favoured by "Buffalo Bill" Cody, plus a buffalo rifle.

That's not a hand gun, it's a hand-cannon! :)

Oh two weapons that I've had personnel experience of; the Bren gun and the SLR (Stupidly Long Rifle).
Back in 1977 I (and the rest of my Regiment) were sent to NI, as we couldn't take our Chieftain tanks we were issued infantry weapons.
I was issued with an SLR that was actually parts from two different SLRs put together. As a result my rifle used to jam solid after three rounds. By jam solid I mean, have to hit it with a five pound engineer's hammer to free up the working parts.
Luckily, as my section's LMG gunner, I was also issued the 7.65mm version of the Bren gun. My actual weapon was stamped '1948' which made it significantly older than I was. The Bren was a wonderful weapon to fire and use, easy to strip down and clean I had no problems with it what so ever, even if it was a bit heavier than an SLR.
Also the Bren got you a great deal of 'respect' when you walked into a bar with one slung across you shoulder!
Ah...those were the days.

Still better than an SA80 though!! ;)
In the late 80's one news report became the talk of my gaming circle. It was about an African conflict, and one guy had made extensive use of Gaffer tape to add a grenade launcher to the bottom of his AK47....
... and a 66mm LAW to the top.

I'm not sold on the Vickers, I'm afraid. I think the MG42 is a much better looking bit of kit.

I remember being in Australia at a Fencing training camp, we were sharing our floor of the accomodation block with a Chinese team. One evening we were all watching a period Australian drama, very Ned Kelly. The Chinese enjoyed it despite not speaking English. When that finished they managed to asked what was on next through a combination of mime and Fencing French.
Unfortunately the answer was .... Blakes 7 ... how do you explain that with only Fencing French and mime.... ;D

How about:
"C'est un documentaire sur la vie dans l'Ouest. Vous n'avez aucune idée de ce que votre gouvernement vous cache"*
That should cause some consternation :)
*It's a documentary about life in the West. You have no idea what your government is hiding from you

Unfortnately the Fencing French vocabularly is somewhat more limited:
Allé, halt,Touche à droit ....
Consternation, given how nervous they were and how they blanked us when anyone from the Embassy was around that could probably have got someone shot :o
Thanks fsn; I actually knew that now that you mention it... :-[
Cheers!
Rob
What sort of concrete did you use for the fence posts?
Pffffffffffft you guys all have no class
