You what????
That's disgusting! :-& :-& :-& :-&
GW Marketing Team meeting...
They don't even supply some glue with it. ;D ;D ;D
I just felt my last fibre of anything GW related snap...
WHAT!
"These kits comes supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue, Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints... and you're going to need lots!"
Well, they got that right!
Once it's assembled and painted ... where do you store it? ... what do you do with it!?? 28mm scale Epic anyone? :-)
"We will also contact you personally to arrange a delivery time that is convenient for you, so please ensure that the contact details which accompany your order are accurate and up to date."
Bet they want to see the fool who buys it personally ;D ;D
But sadly someone will.
I'm sure they'll get some takers, clubs or consortiums (appropriate word in this case) may buy in bulk for the discount, if there is one....
Good grief....So it was true then ?
Is that the army we saw in a link to a blog fairly recently quoting 10,000 Euros ?
Assuming you're getting a 'good deal' =O =O =O =O and some decent discount =O =O =O =O by buying this as an already formed 'army', I wonder if it will finally open more eyes to how unbelievably expensive their stuff is nowadays.
Cheers - Phil
So you buy it, spend a large part of your life assembling and painting it, but then where do you store it or even get to have a game with it? Madness, pure madness.
I'd love to drop a £7000 order on Pendraken.
Casting dwarves to Maximum!
I don't see anything wrong with the size - it's only a fraction of my Napoleonic collection - but the price! And for unpainted models! :o :o :o
I'll drop them a line asking if they do an assembly, painting and basing service... :D

Better yet, where do you find an opponent with the same big army :-\
You know what, you remortgage to buy it, spend days, weeks, months, years assembling and painting it. Then GW release MkVIII space marine armour...
Or, you spend 1% of your annual bonus, from the bank you work for, on it; pay a sweatshop in the Far East to assemble and paint it; load it in to your purpose built display cabinet and then spend your odd evening off playing .... Warmachine ;D ;D ;D

But then gain I have heard Dave will jump out of a cake and sing for a Nutter like that..... :d :d :d :d

I will let you know of their response guys. :d :d :d

That's almost the entire Allied force at Waterloo, or both the armies at Hastings TWICE, 4 Corps of the Army of the Potomac, nearly enough for all the casualties on the 1st day of the Somme, 4 British WWII airborne divisions, or enough orcs to have a chance against one elf maiden.

Nothing...not a peep...zip.
Either:
a) They've worked out I'm taking the p!$$ or
b) They really don't give a toss.
Stuff em :P
c) they read this forum?
They're probably pricing up all the paint, glue, clippers, files, putty and varnish, whacking a 300% markup on it, and rounding up the nearest £1k. I'll go for £20,000 or thereabouts... :D
You forgot the many hours research to ensure authenticity!

I am surprised that you didn't get an email inviting you to go down to your local 'hobby' store so their 'hobby' experts could show you how to paint them to a professional standard by yourself

They are probably counting the cans of ultramarine blue primer to see if they can manage it...
