Had the best news possible today in that I had a clear surgical margin on all of the stuff removed recently, which is medical speak that I'm free of cancer :). Also the catheter came out this morning which is great, so I can move around more freely and will certainly be able to sleep better; well other than having to go to the loo several times in the night ;)!
Great news! So glad to hear that.
That's great news Steve!

Great news.
The catheter caused me more pain than all the other things combined, even the surgery cuts. Glad it is out.
I am 11 months further down that road and have been given the all clear during the summer.
I get my 1 year follow on CT scan in a couple of months.
Terrific news, Steve ! :-bd :-bd :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Thanks chaps :).
Jim I agree that the catheter was the most uncomfortable thing out of the whole process. I have 3 month follow ups for the first year, then not sure after that. Glad that all is still clear for you :).
Congratulations!
That is great news!
Excellent news - I can't imagine your relief

Edward
Excellent news! :-bd m/ to Steve (and Jim). <:-P
p.s. Hope you don't mind, but got me thinking of Old Smokie - if you are reading this, Smokie - not forgotten - hope your days are easy. =D>
Great news

Really good news.
Wonderful news guys, congratulations.
And many thanks for sharing your stories.
The big C is still a killer, but not the certain death sentence it was during our parent's generation.
Recovery rates are on the up, but initial diagnosis is still a cause for fear.
Every survivor's story helps a little in spreading hope to those who are affected, directly, or through friends and loved ones.
So once again congratulations, and thanks.
I was chatting with a chap I met in the hospital waiting room yesterday, who is the same age as me near as damn it and has the exact same op. We have both been very open about having cancer and have encouraged fellow friends and colleagues to have checks if they are in any doubt. He works in a company of some 600+ employees and when he saw the occupational nurse, he said he thought he was probably the first prostate cancer patient in the company. She not by a long way as there had been some 20 others previously, but not one person had talked about it!!! If out being open about having cancer saves one life, it has been more than worth it.
Fantastic news Steve, really pleased to hear it. May you long be rolling dice! :-bd

What you say, Steve, is just SO right.
I was very lucky.....The problems I had were caused by two different 'conditions' that give almost exactly the same symptoms of Prostate Cancer.
(That particular subject was NEVER talked about before.....
Far too embarrassing.....)
I'd say
exactly the same as you.
SO glad you're OK.
Best wishes - Phil
Congrats !!!

Cheers Paul
