Wonderful news guys, congratulations.

And many thanks for sharing your stories.

The big C is still a killer, but not the certain death sentence it was during our parent's generation.
Recovery rates are on the up, but initial diagnosis is still a cause for fear.
Every survivor's story helps a little in spreading hope to those who are affected, directly, or through friends and loved ones.

So once again congratulations, and thanks.

I was chatting with a chap I met in the hospital waiting room yesterday, who is the same age as me near as damn it and has the exact same op. We have both been very open about having cancer and have encouraged fellow friends and colleagues to have checks if they are in any doubt. He works in a company of some 600+ employees and when he saw the occupational nurse, he said he thought he was probably the first prostate cancer patient in the company. She not by a long way as there had been some 20 others previously, but not one person had talked about it!!! If out being open about having cancer saves one life, it has been more than worth it.

What you say, Steve, is just SO right.

I was very lucky.....The problems I had were caused by two different 'conditions' that give almost exactly the same symptoms of Prostate Cancer.
(That particular subject was NEVER talked about before.....Far too embarrassing.....)

I'd say exactly the same as you.
