I cannot sit down at the painting table but I have just got the Comet

I didn't want to hijack Jason's post but I am very much the same or worse. I have had my Bavarians on the painting table 3/4 finished since January and I cannot finish them.  :'( :'(

Part of the problem is I keep finding justifiable excuses not to do them. The latest is a free download my children have got. It is the xbox 360 version of World of Tanks.

I have been aware of this as a PC game for a long while now and although I hadn't played it I didn't think much to it because of the way the sides are put together and the way you progress through the game. However we all find things about any game or set of rules annoying, it is whether the interest level can overcome the annoyance level and get you playing that is important, and this game has me hooked now.  :-X

My lad has progressed to an easy-8, Panther and M36 Jackson as his favourites. I have a Black-Prince  8) and am working this hard to progress to the next tank a Carnarveon before the grand prize of a Conquerer :) :). My other tank was a Cromwell but I have just progressed to the Comet  ;D and the nest one after this will be the Centurion  :D

Non of this has cost a penny, what is the modern world coming to?  :-\

Please help  :-X

Conversely as my interest in WoT has waned, my personal painting output has shot up :D

Las patch actually killed my install on my PC and I haven't even gotten round to reinstalling yet!

It's a good bash though, assuming you get a non-fail team anyway :D

To keep my latest project moving, I have undertaken to spend a bit less time on the net ..... It's too easy to kill time that way.

Ace of Spades

I even sank so low as to spend at least an hour a day on Candy Crush Saga... :(
Deleted all that crap a week ago and productivity shot up again!
Do what you feel like doing, but if you start to have the slightest doubt whether what you're doing is in any way meaningfull: get rid of it!
(Mind you, some people consider painting miniature soldiers as pretty meaningless too... ;) )

I'm in the same boat as you guys, but i am slowly getting out of the WOT stuff. I have around 50 different tanks, and am starting to get bored.

Now i'm busy looking at all the game of thrones stuff to rekindle my fantasy  bug (i want to give swordplay by 2hour wargames a try)

My biggest problem of late has been a mix of work, holiday planning and gardening completely taking up all of my time. There is now light at the end of the tunnel so to speak so I have been able to get back to the painting table for the odd hour here and there. I'm not pushing it and just allowing myself to get back into the painting groove as and when it muse is upon me. So far it's working :).
