I've had a look and can't see any, but just in case I've missed it I'll ask first.

Does Pendraken do separate spears/lances? If not anyone know someone who does.

Reason being I was gifted some medieval cavalry that had been sitting in a biscuit tin, I'm pretty sure they're not Pendraken, (Separate Riders) but they need separate weapons.

fred.

In the new League of Augsburg range there are some separate pikes. They are simple metal rods, so you can cut your own, but these are handy if you need a lot.

If not suitably sized brass wire with one end flattened to a spearhead shape is easy enough to do. Some people are even using plastic brush bristles.

I've used ordinary dressmaker pins cut to size. Once on they will never bend and you'll handle your figures with great care!

Medieval cavalry in a biscuit tin? Must be the forces of the Constable de Bourbon, then......

I feel that!

Any idea if the pikes are just pointy sticks or are they more halberdy for the heads?

They are just lengths of wire, so not flattened for the heads unfortunately.  They are code LOA11 in the League of Augsburg range.

To be fair in that scale so long as the main bits brown and the tip is silver it isn't going to matter much I don't think.  Do you carry these in your event stuff that I can pick up at Carronade?

We don't have them on the show stand, but I've got some cut on the side I can bring along if you like?  One pack or two?

I got two words for you

Florists Wire

go on do a wee search on E-bay, I bought 100 feet of the stuff (in 1 foot lengths) a lot of years ago for a couple of quid and still have a decent sized bunch of it.

1 pack would be great Leon. I'm working on the door in the morning, so I'll get to my shopping by lunchtime.

Old Glory UK sell 10mm scale steel pikes - though you need a pin drill to make a hole in the figures' hands to put them in - and to give them a spearhead you have to cut off a lead 10mm spear point and glue it on, or use milliput. Florists wire might be cheaper - not sure.

To cut them down for spears and javelins and lances you also need a pair of pliers or wirecutters to cut the wire and a file.

I even converted 10mm warmaster dwarven axemen into halberdiers by cutting off the axe heads and drilling them slightly and then glueing them on top of shortened steel pikes - took ages though and very fiddly.

Sandinista

the pikes at LOA11 at £1.25 for 30 are great value and are soft enough to flatten too

That's one word for it!

Either way, I have my pack of wire bits (Courtesy of the wonderful Pendraken Service) and thankfully the cavalry models do have a bit in the hand that was probably a hole before casting so have been fairly easy to poke through so far.
