hello Chaps

As i won a voucher coupon in the 2013 Painting Comp (thx again Team Pendraken!) i took the plunge and ordered a Bunch of WW2 Tanks.Well, the Plan is to slowly build up a decent Collection of the imho most iconic Vehicles of this Conflict, starting with the Tiger I of course  :D Need some Decals but overall i'm quite pleased with the outcome, not bad for my first 10mm Panzer i say  ;D

Panzer marsch!

Really nice work - and a really clever idea of collecting the iconic tanks. You will soon find that 'iconic' covers a lot, as you will want early war ones, desert ones, snow ones, etc - don't fight it, that's just the way it is with WWII!!

With the Sherman - the big starts with circles around were nearly always used as air recognition ones - so would be on the top of the turret. You will find this is quite tricky due to all the hatches - Micro Sol solution can help here, as it softens the decal and allows it to follow the 3d shape of the surface. The US did keep stars on the sides of its tanks for a while, but the British got rid of them very early on.
The tools on the Sherman would look great painted like you did on the Tiger (I suspect that as with all US kit olive drab is the official colour, but a bit of artistic licence will make them pop!)
