I think he's carrying a flamethrower, but what's in his hands ?

From the figure I have I'm sure it's the 'gun' of the flamethrower. Hope this helps?

Yep, definitely a flame thrower.

The 'gun' part is quite basic on the real one, so the model is fairly accurate



Though IIRC the figure is carrying rather across his body, rather than pointed forward like in this photo.
