I finished these a while ago, thought I posted them here but must have forgot. One unit of Danes and Schleswig-Holsteiners for 1848 war. Based for Neil Thomas' 19th Century War. I just finished painting another Dane unit and a Danish Jager unit. Once I finish basing them, I will post them up in this thread. Also just started working on some more Schlewsig units.

In smaller scales I prefer cast-on flags, this range doesn't have them so I used heavy tin (from coffee can seals), cut them to size, glued them on and hand painted them. Pleased with how they turned out.

I'm sorry, but I find these sorts of photos very depressing...the reason?

I used to be able to paint like that, but now my eyes are shot and my hands shake so much I have to restrict my figure buying to ranges where I can get away with one all over colour and picking out shoes and weapons and so on.

Note I'm not saying that photos of very nicely painted figures should be banned, NO, I just get a bit wistful about the days of painting the yellow strips on the trousers of 1/284 scale cavalrymen!

Oh well never mind...very nice figures by the way.

Great figures, SG. I'm surprised to hear you say you prefer cast-on flags, though. I always found them a pain to paint.  :-\

Fenton

A range that has cast on flags is a range I wouldnt buy
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Zippee

Very nicely done, real pretty

I'd agree with Fenton though, cast on flags are a no-no for me  :D

Techno

Very nice work that man !!

I painted the jagers cross straps red instead of black, so please forgive me. Next up are some dragoons and Schleswig jagers as well.....

These things happen, SG. If I had a penny for every time I've painted on a wrong colour I'd have a lot of pennies. Your figures are still very nicely painted.

Lovely work.

Had a look at your blog; more lovely work, especially those Blue Moon British Legion!

PS I hope some of my Irish and English will be making their way into your Elizabethan stuff  ;)
