I especially like the one on the right....That has come out particularly well !  :-bd

Thanks.

The house was done mainly with my new airbrush. For some reason I had the idea that you point the airbrush at the object and tartan paint comes out  :P

Also I added some steps, like scoring the brick work into the card before gluing it all together, when doing the barn.

It's very much a case of learning as I go.

You have to use the right paint for tartan F.  ;)

Many years ago, the April edition of Miniature Wargames had an advert for tartan paint. I got very excited at the prospect, and even found myself explaining how such a product could work at the local club by reference to the rainbow then used in Dulux advertising.  :-[

Really like those camouflage helmets. Reminds me I need to get on with that command base.

Those infantry are really nicely done.

One question, why are the figures sort of floating on the big base? with them both being textured it would look much better if you couldn't see the cast on bases of the figures.

They are magnetised to allow for casualty removal, and to allow they to be used in skirmish games.

btw, that is a not the cast on base of the figure but an M4 washer.

Aah, that's a clever idea. I think I would have left holes/depressions in the main sabot base for the washers to fit into so that they are much less obvious - a bit like the Warbases 28mm ones. Even if the holes where only in the basing material they would sit down lower.

It's still very much a work in progress,

And while I take on board your observations and suggestions, I suspect the issue is the colour I have selected to paint the washer contrasting too sharply with the colour I have chosen for the base.

Leman

I had a go at that - they are of course British penny bases and Warbases penny slots.

That's worked extremely well DP ! :-bd

Feeteore, if you tell Warbases exactly what you need they will custom make them for you.

I'm sure they will, but I'm quite happy with my bases  :)
