Hello all, just to introduce myself. I began wargaming back in the time when you had to have a combination of a beard, a perm, or wore platform soles with bell bottoms and wide lapels and collars. My main interest is ACW but I bought my first SYW 15mm figures from Frei Corps. My ACW figures reduced in size from 25mm to 15mm and then after seeing the up and coming young company Pendraken's 10mm figures, I converted again. My gaming has come full circle, as I bought some of the SYW Army Packs at Warfare last month. So off we go again, boning up on the subject,
with the aid of my old books and the wonders of the internet and this impressive web site.

Welcome Mr Civvy.

I think you'll find a few Old Grognards round here.

I've a couple of small Pendraken ACW armies, and they are gorgeous. (Well they were till my brush went near them!)

Hello and welcome !

I really like the SYW minis  from Pendraken.  Show us pictures as soon as you paint them !  ;)

FierceKitty

If I had to confine myself to one pair of matched armies, they'd be SYW Austrians and Prussians.
Welcome aboard.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Yep, SYW was always my first love. (Don't tell the wife.... ).  :D
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

As I used to say to my ex-wife, "you may go, but I'll always have Don Featherstone."

That almost ranks along side "Your never alone with a Strand"
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!
