Anybody know of any zombie rulesets that use the WW2 and just after era?

I have lots of individual figures and am playing with the idea of pairing them up against the new pendraken zombies!

Every time I see a question like this my immediate thought is...

Why don't they write their own or adapt a set they already use and are happy with?

But then that's me.

Well, because learning something new is fun? I like dabbling ith new rules, always more refreshing then playing the same set for everything.

That's just my opinion though  ;)

I'm with you on that one. Zombies move at x speed - have a hand to hand value of y and any unit that loses to them becomes zombies themselves. Job done. If you don't get it right first time, get it right the next time.

Life's too short to reinvent wheels, if there's a decent set of rules out there for <x>period that is suitable for <y> scale then why write your own?

I'm looking at putting my own together for my own Zombie wars (whenever I get around to kicking it off). I was going to base it a little bit on Space Hulk. Zombies start off as blips on the table and are only revealed when in LoS and the blip could be anything from 1 zombie, D6 zombies, 2D6 zombies, zombie mob, zombie dogs (oh sh*t!), or even survivors fleeing. Keeps it a bit random then. The humans get limited action points and its up to them whether they run or fight or a bit off both. Free controlled movement on the blips and probably looking at random movement for the zombies, always towards the living but at dice rolled pace (do they shuffle or surge).  So the zombie player gets to manoeuvre their blips in position then let loose your zombies for the fun.

Sounds nice!!

If you like random, you can always try out these:

card driven so randomness is there!

Or you could just adapt the Zombies rules set?
