Current batch (80 Infantry, 9 Officers) making good progress, bags & muskets to do then on to flesh tones...

I may even get them finished in time to include in an army entry in the Painting Competition 

Made good progress this week. Current batch now just need touching up, wash and basing ... 

What to paint next ... probably artillery and the other regiment of Virginia Continentals 

Will try and fit in a photo shoot next weekend since one of the clones said

Another good weeks progress ... helped by Waitangi Day yesterday and a days leave today  [take one days leave and get 4 day break ]

Current batch (80 Infantry, 9 Officers) based, just need the shrubbery

Undercoated next batch; 24 artillery crew and the other regiment of Virginia Continentals (48 infantry). 6 guns assembled but missed out on undercoat as rain now threatening

Also started on a couple of 'towns' and a couple of 'villages'.

I have also posted my first entry in the Painting Competition so now I can post the Militia I finished a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully I picked the right one to enter

I will be re-shooting some of the British Legion for my Mounted entry; hopefully tomorrow.

Well spotted that man. Unfortunately the long white cloud is low, grey and leaking today  So as well as mucking up my photo shoot it will inconvenience the Wellington Rugby Sevens tournament

Four day weekend drawing to a close but have made good progress
- Last batch (80 Infantry, 9 Officers) based and flags & shrubbery added, waiting for the weather to improve so I can varnish them
- coats, waist coats and trousers done on current batch of 24 artillery crew and 48 infantry
- 6 guns still waiting for undercoat (raining)
- two towns and two villages prepared but ... waiting for under coat due to ... rain

Note the first game is planned for 15 March (anniversary of Guilford Courthouse) now I have painted enough figures for a small game

Fortunately nowhere near as bad here as in the UK.  Mainly cloudy with persistent drizzle and occasional rain

Enough to stop you spraying undercoat or varnish outside and reduce natural light for photography 

Roll on summer ...   hang it already is summer here
