I glue them on before i do the basing stuff, much easier ;)

That is how I normally do it for 6mm but decided to give this approach a try for my first 10mm figures after reading about it on this forum.

Now I have the consistency right it makes things very quick and easy. Put pva on top of all figure bases, apply mixture to stand, stick figures into mixture and dip in flock. Done  :)

Getting texturing mixture in between the larger figures or pva between figures to flock seems to be more of a challange for 10mm cf 6mm

YMMV

Was hoping to varnish and photograph my first 'batch' but has been blowing a gale all weekend  :( Will try and get them done one evening in the week.

Managed to get second batch undercoated during brief lull on Friday evening. :)  Painting well underway on British Legion Dragoons and Campbell's Virginia Riflemen.

You know there's the sport of extreme ironing? When people iron their clothes up trees and in all sorts of places ...

Well perhaps we should institute extreme painting?  Let's see some of you painting whilst driving the Nurnburg Ring, or freefalling, or hanging off a mountain, or in the January sales.

That would even the playing field, 'cos I'm quite confident that MY painting would be affected that much!

A closer look at Lee's Horse. I'm going to have to use a smaller aperture to get more depth of field next time.

Thanks for the kind comments. I'm very pleased with how my first 10mm figures have turned out.  :)

Making steady progress on the next batch. Christmas events are slowly the pace a little.  :(
