However it can be stopped by thin aluminium sheets.

You have my sincere sympathy!  I invented the perfect dagger, twelve inches long and capable of penetrating the most impermeable armour.  Sadly, I was disarmed by a fencer with a thin blade two feet long.   Foiled again!

I was a criminal in the 1940's, but was captured several times by a detective in Hastings. Foyled again!

My arrow was racing towards its target - nothing could stop me now.  Then some damn fool carpenter stuck up a rasp, and the arrow glanced off.   Filed again!
